Reality TV Celebs Battling Child Custody

If you’ve been a fan of reality TV, you’ve probably heard of “Jon and Kate Plus 8,” a show about a family with a pair of twins and sextuplets. Over the years, the kids have grown up, but their parents have grown apart. They divorced, and eventually, their mother seemed to have won primary custody over her eight children. However, that may not be the end of custody disagreements.

In this news release, it was reported that the parents are supposedly going to be having a child custody battle over their children; their father allegedly claims that they don’t want to live with their mother anymore. According to their father, the children live in fear of their mother. Reportedly, he decided to seek primary custody after his 13-year-old twins were made to appear on the “Today” show and were mostly silent. The interview reportedly made headlines because the girls didn’t talk much and because their mother told them to “spit it out.”

Even though he might disagree with their TV appearances, he allegedly gave up his rights to control their TV lives to avoid paying child support. Still, other sources argue that the children don’t really want to see their father; with so many differences in opinion, it will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Celebs battling child custody always causes quite the controversy, but even if you’re not a celeb, child custody cases are often difficult for everyone involved. Emotions are usually going to run high, and what one parent thinks is good for his or her children may not be what the other believes. If you’ve been involved in a difficult child custody case, finding the right legal advice may make all the difference.
